Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsor the Opening Reception (Sunday 6:00 – 7:00pm) or Sponsor a Day

  • A sponsor representative will be introduced to the class on the day of their sponsorship and given the opportunity to give a 5-minute introduction to their company’s products and/or services.
  • The representative is welcome to visit with our participants during lunch on the day you sponsor (see schedule below). This may be an ideal opportunity for local sales representatives to network with up-and-coming biosafety professionals who may be in their region.
  • We will have a 6-ft. table available to set up your display and materials – you will be able to set up the morning of your sponsored day.
  • Sponsor name and logo will be listed on the PPB webpage and included in any promotional emails.

Your sponsorship or donations will be noted in our course handouts. Your sponsorship will be noted verbally during the course at least three times on the day of your sponsorship and at least twice additionally during the course of the week.

As much as possible, we would like the sponsorship to align with the subject matter of the course. For example, it may be appropriate to have a biological safety cabinet company or a biosafety cabinet certification company representative available during the portion of the course that containment equipment is discussed. A demonstration of safety sharps in conjunction with the topic of bloodborne pathogens and occupational health would also be appropriate. Refer to the agenda to see how your company’s sponsorship might fit with our curriculum (one sponsor per day). Sponsorship days will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Principles & Practices of Biosafety® introduces the essential elements of biosafety and provide extensive resource lists for use after the course. Interactive exercises will be used throughout to provide hands-on experience and to encourage networking and problem-solving among participants and instructors. This course is designed for people who are entering the profession and those with up to three-years’ experience in biosafety. Past attendees have included persons who supervise biosafety professionals, facility managers, safety managers, and government. Class participation is capped at 48 students – we have a full house with many on the waiting list!
